The best season for cleaning gutters varies from region to region, but generally your busiest time are in the Spring and the Fall.

This business is easy to start and I often use the direct approach. After finding a street with a lot of nice houses and large trees, knock door and let people know you are in the neighborhood cleaning gutters. Also you can offer to give them a free estimate or a free evaluation of whether or not their gutters need to be cleaned.

The generate even more business, you can run fliers or put out road signs. In most cases these are a perfectly sound and legitimate way to find new customers. Occasionally you may have to get permission from the city. Either way work if it helps you to make more money.

Try stick to nicer end subdivision. Homes with two incomes are the best because they tend to have a little extra money and a little less time to do mundane things like gutter cleaning. Keep you customers and you can quickly build a business.
